Diana Caldwell, President and CEO of Pearl IRB and Pearl Pathways, is featured in two articles in the 2018 issue of BioFutures. BioFutures is an annual publication of the Indiana Health Industry Forum (IHIF) and Indiana Medical Device Manufacturers Council (IMDMC). The magazine showcases some of the best life science companies, technologies, and talent in the state of Indiana. Kristin Jones, President and CEO of IHIF, shares: “Over the past 12 years we have delighted in profiling the companies, big and small, that are the industry drivers and true heart of the ecosystem here. It has been a privilege to be able to showcase great Hoosier ideas and the thought leaders behind them that are changing the face of patient care here and around the world.”¹
In her published article entitled “Fighting the Life Science Talent Shortage in Indiana”, Caldwell dives into some of the central challenges facing employers when it comes to finding and retaining top talent. A low statewide unemployment percentage and the need for highly specialized entry and senior-level talent make it difficult for life science employers to grow and keep up with demand. Caldwell offers some solutions, including strategic partnerships and outsourcing to fill short-term skill gaps. The full article can be found on Page 6 of the digital magazine.
This year’s issue of BioFutures includes a spotlight on life science start-ups and the providers who help them deliver products to patients sooner. Pearl Pathways is featured on Page 15, in the article “Pearl Pathways Aims to Put Startups on a Glide Path.”
