On October 14, the 7th Annual Site Solutions Summit announced the formation of a new association focusing on the needs and challenges of the research site. President of The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS), Christine Pierre is aiming to “provide clinical research sites worldwide with a voice of their own.” (Mansell) Pierre, founder of Site Solutions Summit is centering her focus around the need for sites to heighten their presence in the overall clinical research sector. The goal of the organization is to “foster collegiality and share information and insights appropriately.” (Mansell) SCRS plans to serve, promote, and educate. SCRS serves as a supporter of clinical research sites by providing them with a voice and advocating on their behalf. SCRS will also maintain dialogue between sites and other organizations to ensure all perspectives are considered.
