Applied Clinical Trials ran a great story in January 2010 that is worth revisiting.   Online communications continue to expand and change which requires all of us in the clinical trials space to keep up to speed on new ways to advertise to recruit patients to trials.   Of course,  banner ads, paid search, and patient databases have been effective and core methods for online patient recruitment for the past several years.  But coupling these with social media can make online recruiting efforts even more effective.    For practical definitions, ideas for getting started, and tips, check out this article.
